Kosiski Gears Up For The Al Belt Custom Homes I-80 Nationals

Andrew Kosiski and Team 53 will be stepping it up a notch this weekend as the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series rolls into the I-80 Speedway for three nights of racing beginning Thursday night. The recently scheduled Al Belt Custom Homes I-80 Nationals has replaced the Knoxville Late Model Nationals which was canceled just weeks ago due to Covid 19.

Thursday and Friday the cars of the Lucas Dirt Series will compete in two complete shows each paying $7,000 to win, while Saturday’s 80 lap main event will give a $30,000 pay day to the victor. Tickets are available for this event and can be found on the I-80 Speedway website.

Andrew has struggled this year while competing with the Lucas Tour, only qualifying for one of the four races he has attended. Kosiski was able to secure a provisional starting spot for the 10th Annual Imperial Tile Silver Dollar Nationals where he finished 28th.

However over the last month the All Makes Collision Center , Certified Transmission , Kosiski Auto Parts, Super Clean , Select Auto Omaha , Omni Inventive Care , We'll Smoke U BBQ No. 53 has been stout picking up a win and 7 top four finishes in its last 11 events; including the victory in the NASCAR season finale and last Saturday’s runner up finish in the Malvern Bank Series race both at I-80.
